well, back in idaho...after a million different planes and airports, i arrived safely back in the gem state :) I was sad to leave alaska, but happy because a few friends came to pick me up and they were so happy to see me! (or at least acted that way for my benefit). It is nice to get somewhere and have people there for you, happy and that missed you. its just a good feeling! so that was nice. and that unmistakable idaho smell- something like hey fields and horses in the air. wow. anyways now i am back in school, trying to make up quizzes and tests and figure all that junk out. I hate this part of vacations...the part where you have to integrate yourself into real life again. But i did go climbing yesterday, that made me feel better. I am now preparing to go to Burley tomorrow and do my second Spudman triathlon. i am kind of nervous/kicking myself because i havent trained very well. and because i just got the road bike i'll use TODAY and i cant really ride it very well. i didnt realize how weird they are to get used to. but when i ride it, i am hunched over reallt intensely, and i feel kind of like lance armstrong! haha anyways so i have to figure out how to switch the gears and get used to skinny tires and no shocks before saturday morning. thats two days. good luck to me!! AHHH!! man. well i guess thats all for now,i need to go to the grocery store- its been about a month...i have NO food! have a GREAT day!

hey, i heard about a book that EVERy body doing a triathalon or swimming at all should read called Total Immersion, i think thats how its spelled. one of the nations top fitness trainers and triathalets recommended it, and i just heard someone tellin him what a good recommendation it was because it changes how you think about swimming, i think it teaches a lot of how to do it better, something called "slippery" that your supposed to feel. anyways, just check it out and read it! Good luck saturday!! so you got a new bike huh? and when did you go snowboarding ? was that in ak?
