Hey!!! So i just had one of the best weekends EVER!! seriously, probably one of my favorite trips that i have taken. Thursday i went and picked up becky felt (my NZ buddy) and we got Steph (another one from NZ) and then drove down to st george and vegas this weekend. it was SO MUCH FUN! it was so great to see my girls again, it has been about two months and seems like FOREVER since i have been in NZ. Its crazy how a trip like that makes you so tight with people you dont even know. After only four months, i am SO close to them its crazy. We had some crazy fun times- we went to the cheese factory in Beaver...but missed the cheesemaking, and then went to the Gunlock rodeo with my gramma and cousins...it was SO funny! There were some great people there- Diane i wish i would have taken some pictures of them for you, because they are right up your alley...HAH. I rode a calf that was bucking and had little horns- it was so scary but really fun. and i rode a donkey with my cousin!! that was a riot. so i was in the rodeo. sweet as. then we went to st george and hung out with mollie (form NZ) and layed out by the pool and got really sunburned....nice. and we did some sweet mountain biking near dixie- i got like three feet of air...hmmmmm
Then it was off to Vegas, where we hit the strip and saw nikki from the NZ trip as well (as you can tell this was a reunion...) did the vegas thing. it was so much fun- but it was like 115 all day and i thought i might die. so we hit the pool again. and we went wakeboarding and tubing and cliffjumping at lake mead all day monday for the fourth with steph's cousins. I love wakeboarding. i wish i could do it all the time. and Lake mead was so pretty with all the red cliffs and blue turqouise water...good times. i am really sunburned and sore from boating, but it was so worth it. we went to the strip monday night and watched the bellagio water show for a while which was so great- i love watching water dance to music- for some reason it is so entertaining (as becky would say 'even better than x-box!") I was thinking that 4th of july wasnt complete without the playing of that Lee Greenwood song, proud to be an american, and then they played it at the show!! it was so great- everyone was singing along and clapping and it was so patriotic. i lvoe america. this is my favorite holiday. and so we stayed and waited for the fireworks to come. until we realized it was not going to happen. apparently the strip only does them on new years!! JACKED UP! so we didnt see any, but thats okay because my weekend rocked. and so then we left vegas at 1 am and drove to prove, where we left steph to work at 8, then it was on to salt lake, where i said bye to becky (and took a much needed nap...) and then on to rexburg! good times. i am really tired after hardly sleeping all weekend, so i have to go. i have to eat dinner and go to football practice i guess. well i will post pics when i get them, i have a few for now...enjoy!!
