soon, said his mother.

So, a week from today i will be trying to get ready to enter the MTC.

wow.

Its so strange. All these phone calls i keep getting from people who want to talk to me before i leave. Like i am not coming back or somthing. I'm not dying people. But i will miss you all like crazy.

On work ethic:
everyone keeps telling me to work hard, to not be lazy, etc. Well, i have thought about that. And, I am not going on a mission to be lazy. Its not like i am just looking for a way to waste a year and a half. I have lots and lots of really great things i could be doing instead. I have reasons to stay. So, since i am still going despite lots to do here, i might as well make the most of my time out there. I might as well work as hard as i can and be the best missionary i can, because otherwise whats the point in even going? If i am going to go away for that long, i might as well make it worth it.

anyway, i guess thats all i have to say right now. I have to go find some shoes that i can wear out there for 18 months. I am really stumped. Waterproof, comfy, good arch support, and looks alright with a skirt....pretty much i have no idea where to find somthing like that.

i go now. love you all.

Mary, Land's End has some good comfy shoes that are sandals, washable & would go good with a skirt or slacks or beach, kind of versatile. Their latest catalog has picture of them on the back.

Congratulations and Good Luck.

We already know you'll be a great missionary. We can go shopping if you want before you go just in case you don't have any luck. I have feet problems and I always go with Dansko. GREAT BRAND and cute too. Land's End is good too. Good luck!

So... I have never known you to be lazy. I know that you'll be a great missionary and work hard, but I also hope that you make the most of your p-day also. You'll get to experience and see lots of cool things! How exciting!

Oh yeah, good luck on the shoes! When we were in Nicaragua it would be nice and sunny and then... Sudden down pour. You'll definitely need shoes that can handle water (and mud)because I'm guessing that the weather will be similar. Even when it wasn't raining it was very humid.

Ah, Sister Hall...Just want to tell you how grateful I am you're going out to serve the Lord! And for being such a wonderful friend to my daughter(s). I know you'll do a wonderful work in Guatemala, I'll miss you (and your zany humor) but know you're doing what Heavenly Father wants you to do.

See you in a year and a half...Dinner Friday night was a blast! Thanks for coming.

Dansko. And I think Clarks makes a womans shoe as well but not as fashonable as dansko. Both very comfy and durable. And I'm not sure if it will matter for where you are but they have a thick sole so they lift you about an inch which will keep mud and water out plus make you look taller! You are going to be amazing because you all ready are. Peace out homes.
