today we had a great pioneer day activity with all the missionaries in the capital. we played pioneer games like potato sack races and throwing wooden pegs at wooden pegs...and me and my comp showed up in pioneer outfits with bonnets. it was really great. and we grilled hamburgers!! so its kinda like i didnt even miss the 4th. it was just late...
also, yesterday we had a baptism, and it was scheduled before chruch at 8 am. we got there are 730 to find the bishop sweeping an inch of water out of the entire church. luckily its all tile here, but an inch of water in the chruch with only like 5 sweepers was a little intense, especially with a baptism and church on teh agenda. out baptism and his family showed up and began helping us. they will never forget that day!! heheh it was nuts, we got the essential parts swept jsut before sac. meeting, and everyone showed up and was like what the heck.....so we had a really fast baptism and then went to sacrament. but by some miracle the chruch dried enough to have the meetings. it was pretty crazy day...hehehe
i guess the bishop only left the pila running for an hour and it was enough to fill the entire church. YOWSA!! i got pics. but i am not sending them. because last week i tried to send pics, and i plugged my camera in to download and some virus in the comp erased 6 months worth of pics and ruined my 2 G card....so now i am a little bummed about that. if you guys can find one quick that would be cool. i am going to look today to see if i can buy another one here, but yeah...suuuuper bummed about the whole picture loss. all my coban pics, half my el estor pics, and my cap pics from this change......GRRRRRRR.....
anyhoo the work is great, we are finding lots, just pray that they progess.... i still LOVE this work, love this mission, love the gospel, and like you say mom, its a good time. not an easy time, but a good time. keep on praying, love you all!!
