so one of the boy scout rafts flipped their boat and lost an oar; b-rad saved them and ended up having to paddle through lunch counter with only one oar...and had the best line of the day. what a champ :)
(b-rad kayaking sheep falls in ID)
Well, i guess its time for an update, live from rainy and chill Jackson, WY. For those who are worried, interested, nosy, curious, or just plain bored, mary and b-rad are still alive, and hitting the two month mark TOMORROW!
The river just quadroupled in size in the last week, making 13 year records for high water and great waves for the whitewater. unfortunately, this also brought water to our tent door. With a little emergency evacuation, nothing was lost, but construction on the tree home was pushed into high gear. Mary is getting pretty darn good with a hammer and a circular hand saw, and b-rad is working overtime to provide a 'home' :)
B-rads dad came up and we played with the scouts for a couple days. i hope i never get that calling. we took them down the river, which was my first time guiding the whole whitewater section without another guide in the boat. Even though i was positive we would flip the thing in lunch counter, i made it through, and i dont think the ride was half bad! teh second run down they flipped a boat, but it wasnt mine thankfully :) those crazy boys.
Tommy came up and went down the river with us today, that was a pretty good time- rode the bull (right up front) the whole time, guaranteed plenty facefulls of the snake river. Thanks for playing tom!
Well, all this talking is making my sore throat hurt even more. No, i dont know WHAT is making it hurt more, but its annoying all the same.
I am still hopeful that the sun will come out in jackson and that we will actually get a few kickball games in. Maybe next week.

Mary-
I was sitting at the computer and Autumn suddenly said, "I miss Mary and 'Bred.'" So I thought we would drop you a line on your blog. By the way, Happy 2 Months!! Hope you get your tree house done!
The words of Autumn, transcribed by me:
"Dear Mary,
I love you so much! I miss you.
I want to call Mary now, Mom."
Short and sweet and to the point.:)
I blog stalked you. You are so hardcore. I miss your guts.
Hey you two! I AM going to come to Jackson, but only when it stops raining! I'm working really hard in SLC right now so that I can afford to take a few days off. I'll be up there soon though. I gotta come see that big water! Love y'all!
