Confessions of a foreigner

Well, i guess its time for a little update for those of you who wonder what happens once you make it across the pond. its been lots of fun so far, and lots of busy.

Got jet lag. Expected it. I hate having this uncontrollable urge to sleep for hours during the day, and lying awake for hours at night, then taking benadryll to sleep, and realizing that knocks me out more than i'd like. No wonder i dont take drugs, i cant even handle that.

Went to Garmisch, Germany and went snowboarding! WAHOO!! It was really cool- you take this little train to the highest peak in Germany, in the Bavarian Alps. The resort is on a glacier up in this amazing bowl surrounded by jagged peaks. Gorgeous.

Of course, we took a nice little touristy tour of a monastary, where the main source of income is, of course, a brewery for bavarian beer and wine. What else would monks do for money?

We'll all be ground to sausages on johnny bobett's machine!(that was for you jenny)
...and dont worry, i ate Weinerschnitzel! (which is not the weiners i am holding up...)

Looking around at all these Europeans, i realize i have no style. i mean, NO style. apparently, they dont wear jeans and t-shirts much. its all tight pants and boots, with the pants tucked in.

All the pedestrian signs make it look like the person is running. I like that. Runner friendly. hah.

i love riding the trains. And everyone here bikes EVERYWHERE. its the best.

The airport lost my bag. For an entire week. You could say i was going crazy, because my running shoes were in there. luckily for them, they found it. Or i would have been kicked out of the country for the rage that would have followed.

oh yeah, and i dyed my hair dark brown. I love it.
Happy Thanksgiving! For more pictures, check out audrey's blog! :)

Looks like tons of fun...how that boarding was awesome. Only 3 more months for me and hopefully I'll be doing a little myself. I didn't realize that boarding and long runs would be the hardest thing for me to "give" up...it's worth it though. Looks like you are living it up!! Have fun. Can't wait till more pics!

Hi Mary :)
you look like you're in a magazine. I think you have style.

Hey Mare-O,
I for one think you do have style, just maybe not the kind of style the euro's seem to like at the moment. But you still shave your legs, and underarms, which is still stylish here.
Did you see our mom's blogspot yet?

Hey thanks for the call.. hope it didn't cost a lot ... How is your quest in hooking a euro guy?? I love the boarding picks.. I am sad that i won't be doing much of that this year. boo hoo. I definately think that you should pick up a new euro get up. But please keep shaving.
