one week in the mission for reals now. Pretty sweet. guatemala is pretty dirty and pretty crazy. My first night we were out in this crazy monsoon downpour and got soaking soaking wet. my poor little patagonia shoes took days to dry out!! But, hey, thats what i bought them for right? you could say i am finally getting my feet wet...haha. things are going well. My apartment is a dirty hole in the wall place which i will probably view as nice in a few months, since i hear its one of the nicer apartments. Bugs everywhere. Fleas actually. yeah really great i know.I see goats in the street everyday, and yesterday i saw a guy pooping in the street. Pretty interesting. There are some sketchy people here. We try to find people to teach all the time, and are teaching one family, and maybe two. its fun to meet all the little kids, they are SOOO cute! ah!But things are great. I have a gringa companion, named Hermana Alyssa Collette, from idaho falls. turns out she is cousins with angela hatch. sweet eh? anyhoo she is awesome, and luckily i get to speak english now and then!! yahoo! But, this is probably why my spanish sucks. I pretty much walk aruond all day having not much of an idea what people are saying to me, and i throw out holas and como estas and gracias´s now and then. its legit. Hopefully i will learn it in a few months. well my time is up. many adventures in only a week, but no time to dive in.Pero, estoy aqui. YAHOO!!!

So can you check your blog? How funny is that! I actually wrote you a letter asking if my cousin was in your mission (I've written you a couple letters... whoops. By the time I get to town to mail them, they're old news)! Guatemala sounds sick (in both senses of the word). I miss you Mare! Did you know that B and I almost took a job at Kenai Fjords super close to your fam? We decided against it (it was volunteer), but we're hoping to get a job in the Tetons. So your spanish is going well? Poco a poco, no? Ya va a poder hablar! Say hi to my cousin for me! un beso (like you need anymore of those right now). Ang
Mary Hall!
I'm all jealous of your comp right now. Serious. I'm so glad I found out about this whole missionary-bloginess concept! And Macy called me last sunday. Congrats on your guy pooping sighting. Me and the rest of the USA miss you all over the place. Buena suerte hermana maria! Que veas a muchas personas "haciendo su negocio" en la calle!
Much love, Clarissa
