The last two weeks have been SUPER hard because its been so dang hot. we are in the middle of summer and they had spring break here last week. its like, we just walk and are cooking under this fire of a sun. i am fighting to stay positive in the heat, because i cannot think straight and have sweat in my eyes all the time. i bought tiny little towel things just to have with me to wipe sweat. i thought guate was relatively hot all this time, but the last two weeks have been a little rediculuos. i mena rediculous. and in the heat, everything is worse. the frustrations with members and investigators and all that. man its ben hard. not to mention in el estor we have the biggest lake in guate, so EVERYONE was there with jet skis, swimming and playing all week, and we were just dying watching everyone head to the lake and us head to the streets to try and find someone to teach. yowsers. but things are going relatively good otherwise. i had an easter activity this week and taught them the whole color easter eggs and easter egg hunt tradition that almost every person in the states does. here they dont really celebrate easter, at least not in my town. they catholics have these rediculous processions which are like parades with crosses and dyuing christs. its really disturbing. ahh those catholics. but here even they didnt do much. they were busy playing in the hot sun. so, it didnt really feel like easter. a few people mentioned it in the testimony meeting, but yeah who knows. i missed easter. but we did decorate and hide eggs which they loved!! we are having a zone conference again this week, which i love they are always a spiritual pick me up, which will be nice. anyhoo, other than taht the work moves on. i found a scripture that i love in matthew 10Ñ43 or somewhere around there about giving a cold drink to us. read it love it. i did.so my new comp is great. she thinks i am a hippie. not sure she knows what one is but she likes the style...heheh also she didnt know moose were real. she thought they were just fiarytales or ust in movies or from the ice age. i need you to send me a picture of a moose, to proove it. like, a sweet one you know_ hha also if you send easter packages will you send some dollar bills_ i wanted to give some dollar bills to my favorite family here, they really want to see the money from the states. anyhoo do what you can...hehhe wello, i lov you all. times about up. anyhoo good luck!! thanks for all your prayers!! i miss you all!!!!!LOVE YOU!! hermana hall

I saw a moose in Heber Canyon- when Guy and I took a train ride about a year ago. The moose was moving fast along the river, and it was interesting & kind of funny to see how his back legs move a little different than a horse. They point outward. Carrie had face to face contact with moose at BYU Idaho in her truck. They tend to want to challenge & charge things that are in their path. The moose was bigger than her truck. It seemed quite funny how she had act like the moose had won the challenge, pull the truck back & wait about 15 minutes for it to move out of the pathway. There are a lot of Moose in AK where she is now. Good Luck on your mission, and don't give up. Sounds like you are doing well, and your example shines bright for everyone, I just know it! Love ya, Jo's Mom :) Mar..
