Summer News

Sounds like summer is in full swing and lots of fun. summer is here too. well, actually, i think for me its been summer since, well, more than a year. i got to guate in july and it has been summer everr since. heheh its been kind of hot here lately, not like el elstor, but hot. things are good. we are having a bit of a slow spell. not gonna lie, this areas a little tough and we dont have a lot of prospects right now. but well, at least i am not in europe, working me butt off for, well, no baptisms eh? hehe pobresitas!
lets see, oh, something funny lately, there is this old man, he has this scrunched up old man face, really crusty old guy, and every time i see him he points at me really accusingly and says CANCHE! which is like, white person, basically. and he says it like he is cursing me or somthing, and its really funny. i have actually started laughing at him. because honestly, how can i not? crusty old man, hollering canche canche in my face. ayayay. its an interesting place, coban. what else, ahhh we wasted a lot of time at the place where they take out papers, like the city building, i hate that place. everyone looks at me like, what the heck is the white girl doing here. her birth certificate isnt here!! heheh i really dont belong...
other than that, everyone here is in a frenzied panic over this pork flu or whatever. its rediculous. and funny. they all wear masks and think that if they are sick AT ALL they have the pork flu. and they are all SURE that we are going to get it as well. its rediculous.
uhmmmm yeah not sure what else to say. this is the last week of the change, so i think my comp is going to have a change, and i will be stuck in coban again. i am learning lots here. patience, humility, patience, faith. man. i miss polochic.
