this week has been good, no corn water so far. we got a new branch president this sunday. the old one was, well you could say he was struggling. i think the responsibility of the calling was a little heavy for him and he was buckling under temptations. but we have a new one and things should be better. the stake pres. guy is going to be spending more time in our branch to help him out.
anyhoo, we are also working with a family that if we can get them married i think they will really progress. its frustrating that the gospel is so true and needed, but so many people dont even have a desire to find out or know. they just dont care. i hope you all can think about the blessing we have and the real desire you have felt. maybe its a blessing of faith. i hope we can be thank ful for our faith.
sorry i am a bit scatter brained this week and i cant think very well to write. i have felt the guidance of the spirit more this week than in weeks past, and i have been making an effort to notice His hand in the work. its really cool to see all the things he helps us with. and really humbling. i am attempting to do part of my prayers in qeqchi. its work. but getting better. anyhoo, so this week i learned how they take ears of corn, and dry thenm out and take the kernels off them and wash them and grind them into dough and make tortillas, drinks, and tamales and everythign else out of it. i was helping a family with corn stuff. its pretty crazy. corn is a part of almost everything here. and thats why i am proud to say that my name, hal, is a form of corn in qeqchi. hehe so, its like i am going to become a part of everything.
well, i guess thats all i have for this week.
i love you all!!!
love mary
