heheh here we are this week in coban again we have a zone conf with the area presidency, elder (pres?) christensen. i think it should be pretty cool. i bought a sweet corte today. they are the typical skirts here, you can ask jerry about them. i am excited, i will send pictures!!!! anyhoo so today we too were on the road, got up at 430 am to catch a micro bus to another microbus full of missionaries and we drove through the amazingly beautiful polochic valley along the river and thru the mountains, i was hanging out the window drooling the whole time. i love it here. i always assumed when i gave up 18 months to serve a mission it would be lioke, i would have to give up wilderness and my life would be so boring. but its not that at all. god loves me, i know that even more because he sent me to polochic. its gorgeous and so intersting and fun. i think of it as the alaska of guatemala. its kind of far out there, gorgeous, and the poeple are all a little strange but really cool. its just where i belong i think. this week has been rough with a few investigators and recent converts struggling with committments and testimonies but we are working as hard as we can and praying harder for them. its so heartbreaking to watch people make decisions that ruin lives of them and their families. UGH! i have been almost crying sometimes for the people here. but on the other hand, we had an amazing baptism saturday. it was a surprise. the kid i told you about that had this rockstar testimony but his mom freaked out and wouldnt let him- well this month she finally softened her heart and he got baptized. it was one of the most powerful baptisms that i have seen here because he had such a desire and the faith and it was jsut cool to see that in a 14 year old. he bore his testimony and everyone listened so intenetly and the spirit was so strong. i loved it. that was the highlight of a really rough week. but hopefully this week things will improve. i am doing well. i love it here!!!
i love you alll!!!!!
until next week!!!
